The YC Dark and Milk Chocolate is a unique and upscale product much like a fine wine, developed 50% cocoa, for milk baking chocolate the taste is, without question, the outstanding feature in this remarkable confection created solely for your safe and healthy enjoyment. The developers at YC Chocolate have created this low carbohydrate sugar free with no artificial colorings, flavors, confections also match or exceed the finest chocolates in taste and texture. YC Sugar Free has satisfied natural food retailers established criteria for what they consider to be Natural and clean. Our Sugar Free products meet the FDA sugar free requirement not to exceed 0.5% sugar from any source, per serving size and are lactose free (milk sugar). YC's cacao beans have been properly grown, harvested, fermented, dried, blended, roasted, winnowed, refined, conched and tempered, to create their own unique intense chocolate taste. The sweetener used in our confections is Maltitol a non sugar sweetener that comes from corn. It is about 90% as sweet as sugar and is non-cariogenic. Maltitol is mostly not digested and therefore, like fiber, the Maltitol carbohydrates listed on the nutritional panel should be deducted from the Total Carbohydrates to arrive at the net digested carbohydrates. This results in 2g of carbohydrates per 42g serving in the Dark Bar. This product is therefore particularly useful for those looking for a low carbohydrate confection. Our confections do not raise blood serum glucose and are therefore also suitable for diabetics. Because we use a minimal amount of Maltitol, the usual laxative effect is all but eliminated.

Wow" is the only way to describe this. New to the sugar-free world, I have recently had some distasteful experiences with sugar-free products. So I half wondered if I'd end up chucking this stuff in disgust after trying it. Boy was I in for a surprise.
I'd tried Lindt and Ghiradelli 70% chocolates and frankly I had to choke them down. One taste of this and I realized I might have to ignore the warning on the label not to eat too much. Rich and smooth is how I'd describe it. I am just amazed that a sugar-free food could beat two of the most decadent names in chocolate.

Although intended for cooking, the pieces are excellent snack size and the taste is yummy!
